Make Georgia Hands-free Project
Client Project: Identity and social media campaign to advance Georgia’s distracted driving initiative
Why Resonance: Resonance has helped MAG with design assistance for several of their signature foundation campaigns, including preventing opioid misuse and promoting drug “safe boxes” for disposal of unused prescription medicine on Georgia college campuses. Resonance was a natural design partner for the logo and social media graphics to raise public awareness and assist their physician members in lobbying the state legislature for a hands-free driving bill.
Solution / design rationale:: We modified the letter G into the prohibited slash mark symbol then added peach leaves to form a distinctly hands-free Georgia mark. MAG orange and green colors worked perfectly for the palette. After the bill passed into law, we modified the logo from “Make Georgia Hands-Free” into “Georgia is now Hands-Free.”
Of note: The original tagline was, “Just drive. It’s the law.” We suggested that adding “please” changed the tone to a more courteous one. It stuck.
